Cryodon used to be quite a rough neighbourhood for years. It has a rich history gong back all the way to the middle ages, but in the 20th century, it became a poor suburb with lots of brutalist office blocks and tower blocks. Many of these brutalist buildings were supposed to be monuments of the space age, but decades later they just were a sign of poverty. In the recent years, however, Croydon has shown some signs of rebirth. there are a few really cool places there and street art has started to appear everywhere. It might be that in few years, Croydon will be a sought after neighbourhood for the artistic types.
