Clapham

Clapham seems wealthier than its neighboring Brixton, but the atmosphere has some similarities. Nice pubs, parks and restaurants. There aren't that many sights in Clapham, but there are nice places to visit. This is a nice residential area close to Brixton's nightlife, where you can also enjoy the nature.

Drinking:

  • One of London's Brewdog pubs is in Clapham. This place is a bit more colourful than many of the other Brewdog pubs. It's a great place to enjoy world class beer, including seasonal rarities.
 Sights:
  • If you're in the neighborhood, be sure to check out Clapham's library. It's a great piece of architecture and a good example how you can make public services really nice and approachable.
Shopping:
  • Clapham Books is a nice little book store with everything from fiction paperbacks to travel guides and from children's books to philosophy.
Parks:

  • Clapham Common is a huge park with football fields, jogging grounds and a pond. It's a great place to spend your day outdoors!
 Cafés:
  • Right in the middle of Clapham Common, there is a great little cafe, called Fields in a small barrack building. There are some tables outside. They have some amazing coffee, amazing sandwiches and even some craft beers for sunny days.
Cinema:
Eating:
  • La Petite Bretagne is a fantastic Bretagne restaurant with amazing sweet and savoury crepes and some mouthwatering Bretagne cider.
Entertainment:
  • Omnibus Theatre is a small theatre with very good, often philosophical or societal plays. There's also a very nice little cafe/bar with a cat in the building.
