Fulham

Fulham is a lot shabbier than it's neighboring Chelsea, although some fancier areas can be found near Fulham Palace. Rows of regular London houses and few pubs here and there. The proximity of the Thames gives it a good location, when it comes to jogging. Fulham has a suburban feel even though it's quite close to the city centre.

Cafés:
  • Like good coffee and cookies? Then Harris + Hoole could be a place for you. The café is fairly small, but nice. And they seem to know what they're doing.
Drinking:
  • White Horse is one of the most common pub names in London. The one in Fulham has a good beer collection and a nice beer garden to enjoy it. It gets rather busy around after work, but if you can find a table, it's fairly nice.
  • Duke on the Green is a nice looking pub with mosaic tiles on the walls. Food is pretty expensive, but if you're just after a drink, this is a nice place for it.
  • Beer selection in many West London pubs is not that great. The Rose is no exception, but there's a great beer garden at the back for those warm summer nights.
Parks:
  • It's not really very interesting, but Fulham has a park called South Park. So, if you want to get a funny photo of a sign welcoming you to South Park, this is the place.
 Entertainment:
  • 606 Club is a great hidden cellar jazz club. They host world class jazz bands. You need to book a table in advance to get in and you can eat dinner while you listen to the music. The food isn't that great but music is amazing.
Areas around Fulham: Chelsea, Putney, Wandsworth, Hammersmith, Kensington
