Museums & Art:
- Dulwich Picture Gallery is a large art gallery with classic paintings from such artists as Rembrandt and Canaletto. They also have a fantastic café with large outside area.
Parks:
- Dulwich Park is a large park with potential for all kinds of activities. They have a small pond where you can peddle with a peddling boat, a bowls court, tennis courts and various types of gardens to stroll through. There's also a large children's play area.
- Dulwich Wood is a large forest area with a web of pathways. It's a great place to walk around, although the paths sometimes get really muddy.
- Peckham Rye Park
is a big park. The southern part between Nunhead and East Dulwich is
filled with decorative flower gardens, Japanese style rock gardens and
little rivers and lakes.
- Rocca di Papa is a great Italian restaurant serving tasty pizzas, pastas and other Italian courses and wines. There's a small outside area as well.
- Thai Corner Café is a small and cozy Thai restaurant with delicious food with affordable prices. You can also bring your own bottle of wine or beer with the food.
- Romeo Jones is a cute little café and deli that serves coffees, teas and all sorts of delicacies in a rustic atmosphere. If you want something sweet, this is a great place for that.
- On the village-like Lordship Lane, there's a fantastic wine and beer shop called Bossman Wines, that focuses on local microbrewery products.
- Hop Burns & Black is one of the best beer shops in London. Amazing selection of craft beers from local and international microbreweries.
Drinking:
- The Herne Tavern is a beautiful and classic Victorian pub with a beer garden and beautiful interiors.
- East Dulwich Tavern is an amazing local pub with good pub food, amazing beer selection and an array of events, such as a folk music night once a month. Great atmosphere!
- The Actress is a quite fancy looking pub with fairly decent beer selection. The place is normally quiet even in the weekends, so it's a great place to have a conversation with your friends.
