Putney

Putney is a lovely, fairly wealthy neighbourhood with village-like atmosphere. Few nice parks and Thames riverside. In the corner of Putney bridge there is an old stone tower. The main street is just like any other main street in West London villages. Putney may be a bit quiet and boring, but it has that small town charm, that some of the West London villages have.

Shopping:
  • There is a great beer boutique in Putney where you can buy really tasty ales. Some of the pale ales are among the best I've had. They also have a small bar where you can taste the products in their premises.

Parks:
  • Wandsworth park is a small but nice park at Thames riverfront. Good place to sit in the sun in summertime.
 Drinking:
  • The Jolly Gardeners is a nice neighbourhood pub with woodpanelled walls, nice beer garden, great beers and good pub food.
  • Prince of Wales is a nice neighbourhood pub with nice selection of beers, pub quizzes and English food. The atmosphere is very laid back.
Areas around Putney: Barnes, Wandsworth, Fulham, Roehampton
